It is the goal of God’s Little Acre Farm to give away 70% of everything grown on the farm each season. The actual poundage depends on the growing season. We are subject to the same factors all farmers are with regards to the amount of sun and rain. We also depend on the numbers of volunteers that we draw. This greatly affects the amount of food we are able to distribute. The food will be given to those in need using the following priority structure.
- Our first priority is to those who cannot pass the requirements for regular food security serviced elsewhere. This includes people or organizations that assist the homeless or those who don’t qualify for the Food Bank or other food services.
- Organizations that feed the hungry and are not traditionally funded for food distribution. This may include religious based food banks and soup kitchens.
- Organizations that ARE funded but are able to put their food budget back into expanding their other programs. Once these needs are met, we open distribution up to everyone else.
If you know of someone who needs food or an agency doing good work – please contact us so we can reach out to them.
